community beautification projects, as
well as assisting new foreign students in
obtaining furniture, and becoming
oriented to life in the United States.
The Interact Club at Pan American
School is beginning its fourth year.  The
club has become a place where students
from various countries can get to know
one another and learn about different
cultures.
Rotary is commited to the development
of future leaders.  The Rotary Youth

in 1971 aims to:
>Demonstrate Rotary's respect and
concern for youth.

>Provide an effective training
experience for selected youth and
potential leaders.

>Encourage leadership of youth by
youth.

>Publicly recognize young people who
are rendering service to their
communities.
Four-Way Speech
Contest
The four-way speech contest is an
opportunity for high school students to
demonstrate their public speaking skills
and educate Rotarians on what the four
way test means to non-Rotarians.

Contestants compete at the club, area,
and district levels.  Scholarships are
awarded to the top finishers at the
district convention each April.
